Rookie John Collins was good for nine points, three rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes on Sunday but actually saw less playing time than Mike Muscala, who collected eight points, four rebounds, two assists, two 3-pointers and a block in 19 minutes of work.
The Hawks are fully expected to let young players like Collins run wild the rest of the way so this isn’t much cause for concern on that front. It is interesting for Muscala, however, as he obviously has a fun stat set and may be able to carve out deep league value. He won’t need a ton of playing time to post top-200 numbers and was rolling along pretty good before being sidelined by injury. Fantasy owners should just toss him onto watch lists for now, but keep an eye on his performances over the next few.
