Marcin Gortat didn’t have any gaudy numbers but checked plenty of boxes on Saturday night, collecting six points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block in 35 minutes of work.

Ian Mahinmi left with an illness after six minutes so Gortat was pressed into extra duty. Typically he’s good for cheap double-doubles and a block or two so this variety was nice to see even if it’s not a sign of things to come. The Polish Hammer is just a low-end big man at this point of his career but at least he’s a guy that fantasy owners can depend on.
