With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, Marc Gasol insists that his focus is to keep this team together and maintains that a trade demand isn’t happening any time soon.

The big man continues to pour his leadership into a Grizzlies’ squad that’s committed to developing young players. Gasol has averaged 33 minutes over the past 10 games while logging at least 36 minutes in four of those contests. “It’s easy to look for an excuse in this situation,” Gasol said, as the Grizzlies prepared to end a four-game road trip Tuesday against the Hawks. “I’ve never bought into excuses. Break everything down and just concentrate on your job.” A trade could impact his value but we haven’t heard anything concrete that suggests the Spaniard is on the move and owners should continue enjoying a stellar production.
