Lauri Markkanen (elbow) will come off the bench on Saturday night but will be able to play in back-to-backs right away, per Fred Hoiberg.

He's expected to play minutes in the twenties tonight. It's not surprising that the Bulls will ease Markkanen in a bit, but it is surprising that they'll let him handle B2Bs. That's certainly subject to change but it's big news for owners who have been mentally preparing to keep constant tabs on Markkanen's status as he ramps up to full speed. Jabari Parker's clock is ticking and Markkanen needs to be picked up in all formats where he might still be available.
