Kyrie Irving‘s stepback over LeBron was one of the few highlights of the day for the Celtics, who dropped a 121-99 decision to the visiting Cavs despite 18 points and five assists out of Irving.

Kyrie shot 7-of-14 but was only 1-of-7 from deep in a fairly subdued game. Boston frittered this one away starting in the second quarter and the Garden crowd would’ve emptied out early if not for the postgame festivities tonight. While the booing was a bit excessive, the Celtics have now seen themselves down by 26 or more points in three of their last four. Irving may have had an off game but will be locked and loaded as a top-15 option the rest of the way.
