Kristaps Porzingis hinted that he could eventually leave the Knicks if the team isn’t a contender.
“Absolutely, I want to stay here all my career,’’ Porzingis said. “But the thing I want most of all is winning. When the time comes, I will seriously start to think about it. Right now I just try to do my best.” There’s no doubt that Porzingod has taken the league by storm in terms of ability and popularity. He will be a restricted free agent in 2018, so contract talks will be taking place very soon. The Knicks were a mess this season from top to bottom so Knicks’ fans are hoping things get better this season. Porzingis also announced that he will play for Latvia at Eurobasket this summer, meaning he should be healthy.
