Khris Middleton played 42 minutes in Thursday’s Game 6 defeat, dropping 19 points, four rebounds, five assists, two steals and three triples on 6-of-13 from the field.
Quite a night for a guy who is battling illness. Middleton had his shot working a little better tonight and while DeMar DeRozan was able to shed him on defense more and more as the series wore on, it’s pretty clear that Middleton is one of the league’s most unheralded two-way players. He overcame a brutal hamstring injury to return ahead of schedule and was a difference maker for the Bucks down the stretch. Expect him to be a mid-round player at worst next season.
