Ish Smith’s big points-assists totals continued in Friday’s win over the Spurs, as he scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds and 13 assists in 31 minutes off the bench.
Jrue Holiday (nine points, three rebounds, seven assists, one block, 24 minutes) played tonight and Tyreke Evans could be back in the next week or so, but Ish keeps on ticking. Wherever he has played in his nomadic career, he has been hard to take off the floor and these types of stat outputs are quite common. In injury-plagued New Orleans, he could very well be the last man standing, though we’ll also point out Norris Cole’s eventual return to further complicate matters. Whatever the case may be, he’s a solid mid-round value on the year and he’s a sell-high candidate if you can get anything in return, but after tonight he’s a solid hold in 12-team leagues after having some viability before tonight as a drop.
