• Gordon Hayward scored 26 points on 11-of-21 shooting (1-of-9 3PTs) with six rebounds, four assists and one block in the Jazz’s 101-92 loss to the Mavs on Monday.

Hayward couldn’t hit from deep and Rodney Hood (six points, 1-of-11 FGs, 1-of-7 3PTs, four boards, three assists, one steal) couldn’t hit anything as the Jazz choked this game away.  It didn’t help that Derrick Favors (11 points, three boards, one steal, one block, 28 minutes) could barely run up and down the court and already banged up Rudy Gobert rolled his ankle and couldn’t play.  Shelvin Mack scored 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting with two threes, two boards and two assists, but the Jazz missed so many open jumpers and now they’ll need help from the Kings — assuming they can win on Wednesday in Kobe’s farewell game at Staples.
