Greg Monroe played 24 minutes in Thursday’s loss, finishing with six points, seven boards, one assist, one steal and one block.
Monroe’s usage was something Milwaukee could’ve handled better, as noted by our own Zain Dhanani – he was a team-best plus-11 tonight. He corralled four big offensive rebounds, with most of those coming during Milwaukee’s remarkable surge from 25 down. He was also able to batter Serge Ibaka down low as Jonas Valanciunas was yanked off the floor early in the fourth. Monroe didn’t start any games for the Bucks this year but proved that he’s still an effective player and an improved defender to boot. We’ll see what happens with him this offseason.
