Eric Gordon scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, four assists and one block in 26 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s preseason loss to the Grizzlies.

Gordon is going to come off the bench for at least the first 2-3 games it seems and it also seems like Mike D’Antoni isn’t wasting any time stirring the pot with position battles, rotations and the like.  It doesn’t make a ton of sense to overlap Gordon’s minutes with James Harden’s, but D’Antoni is probably just trying to see if he can further tilt the squad toward offense.  The minute distribution shouldn’t swing too much based on the start/sit decision, but MDA could theoretically go away from Patrick Beverley (knee) a little if he eschews defense. 

MDA said he may move Gordon into starting lineup over Beverley, but will wait until 2-3 games in before looking at it.
