• Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard will undergo surgery to alleviate pain from his lower back/glute.

Howard has only appeared in nine games for the Wizards this season and the surgery is a major blow for their frontcourt. Thomas Bryant has been holding down the starting center job with Howard out, but has yet to play more than 18 minutes. Look for Markieff Morris, Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre to benefit the most as the Wizards play more small-ball. We should have a better idea of Howard's timetable following the surgery, but it is typically a two-three month window.
