Dwight Howard had a solid game in Sunday’s matinee with 17 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and a block while shooting 7-of-11 from the floor and 3-for-4 from the line in 29 minutes.
While it was a great game all things considered, Howard looked to be on the way to a monster line with a big first quarter. He wound up grabbing nearly two thirds of his rebounds in the frame but was phased out as Toronto kept adding to their lead. If he could hit free throws like this every night he’d be a legitimate stud but we all know that’s not going to happen. Howard remains a punt dynamo but just a late-round asset if you’re trying to compete in every category.
