Draymond Green stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, three steals, five blocks, and three 3-pointers on 6-of-10 shooting in 37 minutes in the Warriors’ 121-109 Game 1 home win over the Blazers on Sunday.
Dray proved why he’s one of the main candidates for this year’s Defensive Player of The Year Award and was probably the Warriors most important player in this game. He had two monster blocks on Blazers’ star Damian Lillard in which he went straight up with him on a dunk and swatted the ball. He did it all in this game, and adds a toughness the Warriors would seriously lack if he wasn’t on the team. If Draymond keeps playing like this, it’ll be hard for any team to get a win off the Warriors.Â
