Derrick Favors played 32 minutes off the bench on Saturday for 15 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block.

Favors played heavy minutes after Rudy Gobert left the game in the first 20 seconds. He has injury problems but he is crucial to the Jazz’s success so he needs to be healthy for the Jazz to have a chance. Their other options at center are Boris Diaw and Jeff Withey, and that isn’t a great matchup against DeAndre Jordan. Favors made 7-of-10 shots tonight so that’s a great start. He could get the start in Game 2 on Tuesday so keep an eye out.
