DeMarre Carroll drew a link between the defensive philosophies of Mike Budenholzer and Gregg Popovich, expressing optimism that he can he thrive as an aggresive defender in San Antonio's system as he did in Atlanta's.

Carroll makes a decent point in connecting the similarities of the two systems and noting that he was at the top pf his game when he played in Budenholzer's in Atlanta. While we don't expect Carroll to ever return to the level of production he enjoyed then, it's not impluasible to see him bounce back in San Antonio after a few injury riddled seasons. He's still not worth drafting, but could become a nice deep-league asset if things brake right for him.
