D’Angelo Russell went off for 23 points, eight assists, four boards, one trey, one steal and three blocks against the Hawks on Wednesday.
Wow; the breakout is most certainly real. Russell was calm and collected all night, simply carving up the Hawks’ perimeter defenders. Despite starting the season shooting just 33% from the floor, we remain bullish on the sophomore guard because of nights like this. There’s no reason to assume he won’t return top-60 value this season.
