Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry may have indicated that rookie Buddy Hield could be the starter for the Pelicans this season.
Alright, alright. Maybe we’re reading a little too much into his comments. What he really said was that he like playing Hield with Tim Frazier, but Frazier is expected to be the team’s starter while Jrue Holiday (personal) is out indefinitely. Even if Hield is to start, the rookie would should only be viewed as a 3-point specialist.Â
Alvin Gentry said he likes Buddy Hield playing with Tim Frazier because of Frazier's pass-first approach. Also knows where Buddy likes it.
