• Channing Frye started his postseason off on the right foot, notching 11 points with three triples in 16 minutes of Saturday’s Game 1.

Frye also added two rebounds and two assists, but the deep shooting (he was 4-of-5 from the field overall) is his calling card. He provides a lethal option for the Cavs’ bench lineups and was a huge beneficiary of LeBron James’ drive and kicks more than once. Even if he’s not the recipient on the original kickout, the ball always seems to find him a split second before the defense can rotate once more. How Indiana chooses to defend him going forward should make for an interesting subplot, as their bench bigs lack the footspeed to get out and rotate with the ferocity demanded by Cleveland’s attack.
