C.J. Miles was scorching hot in Sunday’s blowout win, picking up 24 points, six triples, two steals and a block in only 18 minutes off the bench.
Miles actually missed his first three shots, including two open looks, but clearly has a short memory. He wound up finishing 8-of-11 from the field and his steal and transition dunk served as the exclamation point on another impressive win for the Raps. The #BenchMob, as coined by Miles himself, came in to start the fourth quarter and pushed a 16-point lead all the way up to 37 before the teams completely entered the benches. Delon Wright picked up six assists, two steals and two blocks in 20 minutes, Pascal Siakam went for nine points, five boards, a triple and a steal in 22 minutes, Fred VanVleet went for 10-3-4 with two threes and a steal in 17 minutes and Jakob Poeltl picked up four points and a swat in 18 minutes. The Raptors boast one of the best benches in the league and Miles is a difference-maker for threes whenever he’s on a run like this.
