Bradley Beal scored 27 points and added one rebound, four assists, one steal and one block on 9-of-19 shooting in 40 minutes in Sunday’s Game 1 loss vs. the Celtics.
Beal also drilled four of his seven attempts from behind the arc and was pretty efficient this game. He and John Wall combined for 47 points, but the defense just wasn’t there, allowing the Celtics to storm back from a 16 point lead. Beal was top-1o in points last round, along with John Wall so scoring isn’t their problem. The C’s outscored them in the third quarter 36-13 and they just couldn’t seem to come back after that. Look for the Wizards to try and steal Game 2 in Boston on Tuesday.Â
