Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry said that Anthony Davis is the only player assured a starting spot to start the season.

With Jrue Holiday (personal) and Tyreke Evans (knee) out to start the season, Gentry has made it an open competition for every position other than center. The Pelicans have some intriguing pieces with Terrence Jones, E’Twaun Moore, Tim Frazier and rookie Buddy Hield. Preseason for the team kicks off tonight (Saturday) and we will get to see our first look at Gentry’s rotation.
