• Amir Johnson drew another start in place of Joel Embiid and used his 21 minutes to produce 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block while shooting 6-of-8 in Thursday’s loss.

Embiid was probable to play an hour before tip and was then downgraded all the way down to out. With his return seemingly imminent, Johnson’s run as a starter is about to end. He will still see time but we have a hard time believing that he’s above Richaun Holmes in the pecking order here, so he’s a drop candidate outside of very deep leagues. Johnson does seem to be the preferred fill-in starter, however, so keep him on your mind if (or when) Embiid’s next batch of absences pops up.
