Alec Burks took full advantage of Rodney Hood (foot) leaving Friday's game early, playing 38 minutes and going 8-for-14 from the floor en route to 22 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal and three 3-pointers.
If Hood were to miss time it certainly looks like Burks would move into the starting five, and he'd be a candidate to lead the Cavs in both minutes and shots for as long as he held the job. There's late-round potential here so Burks is a nice pickup in all competitive formats and a viable flier in leagues of any depth. You might want to wait until we get an update on Hood but not everyone is going to have that luxury.
