Backup rookie guard Patrick McCaw scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including a three) with four assists and five steals in Saturday’s preseason opener.

McCaw continues to show observers that he is capable of playing at least spot minutes for the Warriors, and that’s likely what we’ll see out of him early on.  Ian Clark will probably slot ahead of him in the rotation and from there we’ll have to see how he develops.  Projecting big things for him, even in Dynasty leagues, gets tough because the Warriors’ main cogs aren’t likely to just disappear.
