DeMarcus Cousins continued to overcome scheme limitations and general shenanigans surrounding the Kings, scoring 39 points on 14-of-24 shooting (2-of-2 3PTs, 9-of-12 FTs) with nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in Tuesday’s win over the Nuggets.
Cousins could put up some truly insane numbers if the Kings used him primarily in the post but the Nuggets aren’t equipped to deal with perimeter Cousins either. The Kings have not changed any of the problems with their offense or defense, so disaster is right around the corner as they try and get back into the playoff chase.Â
