Corey Brewer scored a season-high 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 34 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.

The minutes were boosted by Trevor Ariza leaving the game early with a bruised back, and normally you’d dismiss a player as bad as Brewer has been all season but he’s the type to reverse course and start making every shot.  We don’t know how long Ariza will be out and we’re calling him day-to-day, so absent that time off owners are basically gambling on the idea that Brewer gets hot.  The numbers suggest it’s a distinct possibility.
