• The Sacramento Kings head to Toronto Sunday night for the final game of their current five game road trip.  With the team having gone 0-4 to this point, Sacramento will be looking to change their fortunes and return home with a win.  With that said, this is not an opponent to take lightly, as they are by far the best team on this trip.

If there was a silver lining to last night’s blowout loss against the Bucks, it would be that the Kings were able to give DeMarcus Cousins plenty of rest. Cousins played less than 30 minutes in the loss, so he should be much fresher tonight than he would be on a normal back-to-back.

Here are some things to watch for in the game:

    • Sacramento has struggled to get any scoring from their guards to this point, and DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry are by far the best defensive back court that the Kings have had to face this season.  Sacramento will need to find a way to get their guards more active on offense, but unfortunately tonight should be their toughest assignment yet.
    • While Lowry and DeRozan combine to make one of the more intimidating guard tandems in the NBA, the Raptors are much more vulnerable to being exposed in the paint.  Jonas Valanciunas is not particularly good defensively, and with Bismack Biyombo departing in the offseason, there isn’t much depth behind him.  Sacramento will want to exploit this matchup as much as possible.

Sacramento enters Sunday with a 2-5 record, so a win in Toronto combined with the boost of having Darren Collison back for their next game would go a long way toward getting their season back on track.  A loss certainly doesn’t end their season, but it’s never a good idea to dig such a big hole this early.  Either way, Sacramento will need to come out sharp if they plan to leave with a win.
