Joe Johnson joins the list of veteran players to be traded to the Kings and never don the Sacramento uniform.
After being sent to the 17-37 Kings in a three-team deadline day deal, immediate reports were that Johnson wanted a buyout.
Today, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the buyout was complete and that Johnson had agreed to a deal with the second-seeded Rockets.

This announcement means the trade deadline dust has finally settled in Sacramento.
Sacramento sent George Hill and Malachi Richardson and received Iman Shumpert, Joe Johnson and Bruno Caboclo on Thursday. The team also waived Georgios Papagiannis that same day.
The subtraction of Papagiannis and Johnson leaves the team with an available roster spot. The Kings may look to receive some guard help with Frank Mason still being injured or the team could look to veteran Garrett Temple and rookie Bogdan Bogdanovic to handle the ball at times when starter De’Aaron Fox isn’t controlling the offense.
