• For starters, I hope everyone was able to enjoy Thanksgiving.  While we don’t have any games to dive in to, we do have some NBA news to share in a quick-hitting fashion.  Maybe some of our readers will find time to enjoy this while they are out in the early morning hours for Black Friday shopping!

D’Angelo Russell will be missing a couple of weeks minimum due to a PRP treatment on his left knee.  Apparently the knee has been bothering him for some time now and the hope is that he will not need surgery.  He will be re-evaluated in one week so we should know more then.  It is hard to predict how this injury will affect the Lakers.  My initial guess is that Jordan Clarkson might get more run, but we will have to see how coach Walton handles things with the rotation first.

The Pelicans will be without Dante Cunningham for the next 4-6 weeks.  He has a fractured right fibula and we probably won’t see him again until after the New Year.  The focus for the Pelicans will be relying on Jrue Holiday and possibly Tyreke Evans soon.

Alec Burks is not getting any luckier with his current ankle injury.  He is now going to miss the next couple months after he underwent arthroscopic surgery to clean out debris.  The Jazz are deeper this season than previous seasons, so he may have had a hard time carving out a solid role regardless.  This also means Rodney Hood will likely hold value all season long.

Markieff Morris and Otto Porter are both expected to play on Friday.  Besides that, there wasn’t a ton of positive injury news on Thursday.

Tyson Chandler is set to return but his value is questionable at best.  The Suns seem interested in developing Alex Len, Dragan Bender and Marquesse Chriss, so Chandler is likely the odd man out.
